The new tool is supplied with specialist adaptors for both Bosch and Delphi injector removal, and also comes with a special tool for the dismantling of Bosch Injectors when it is necessary to remove internal parts from the injector as part of the injector removal process.
The injector removal adaptors feature a special hex design (M27) to allow use of an Air Impact Wrench, to create vibration which is sufficient to break the injector seal. With the seal broken, the slide hammer can then be connected to the injector adaptor, and removal of the injector is then quite straightforward.
At the same time, Sykes-Pickavant have also updated their smaller Diesel Injector Puller, which was originally designed for use with Lucas and Bosch type clamp-down injectors. This tool now features a new specialist 17mm adaptor for the current generation of GM diesels ( X20DTH / Y20DTH ) and can be used on a wide variety of both Car and HGV application
